A Human Hand

Workers push a steel piling into position for it to slide inside an adjacent piling’s slotted connector before it is driven into the soil beneath Alum Creek at the Main Street Bridge.

Each sheet piling is connected to the adjacent piling to be driven into the ground by a vibrating hydraulic hammer

A crew of three, using a crane and hydraulic hammer, will build two dams to hold back Alum Creek while workers demolish the old bridge’s abutments and build new structures for its replacement.
