Bridge Surface Removal

Sections of the concrete surface of the Main Street Bridge are removed Tuesday. The section are lifted from the abutment by two loaders, one at each end. Then, in tandem, the loaders traveled onto the construction causeway where the sections are offloaded for further demolition before portions are recycled or used as fill.
