A welder cuts through the collection of stranded steel cables and rebar that holds together one of the slabs that spanned Alum Creek on the Main Street Bridge.
The stranded steel cables provide strength support for the bridge as concrete is poured over them to create the driving surface. The rebar increases load support through the slab.
