Westerville Main Street Bridge gas line holes

First, you dig a hole

by Gary Gardiner on July 6, 2010

Recognizable signs of construction showed Tuesday as workers dug the first holes in preparation for the rerouting of natural gas lines underneath Alum Creek. Before tearing down the existing bridge all utilities must be rerouted around the construction site to prevent damage to power, gas and data lines.

Some of the new utilities lines will be placed inside the bridge while some will be in pipe tunneled under Alum Creek.
