Handrails were the first pieces removed from the Main Street Bridge as workers begin to demolish the old structure to make way for anew bridge.
With the exception of two sections of the railing steel rails will be sent to a recycler. The portion not being recycled is being given to the city to be used in a city park as part of the historical record of the bridge.
