Milling asphalt surface on causeway for bridge

Old Road Removed and Ready For Traffic

by Gary Gardiner on July 15, 2010

Today marks the first week of construction on the new Main Street Bridge. The Franklin County Engineers and Kokosing Construction have been very helpful allowing access for photos. Adherence to safety protocols in a construction site requires a lot of work by everyone and both entities have been great.

Demolition of theĀ  old bridge structure may begin next week after structural testing.

Workers watch as a milling machine removes a section of asphalt on the roadway leading to the Main Street Bridge. Removal of the asphalt signals the final stage of road work before demolition of the bridge begins.
