Waterway pipes loaded onto trucks for removal

Hand signals direct the loading onto a carrier of one of the steel pipes used as temporary culverts to divert water under the Main Street Bridge. The pipes were removed when the bridge deck and working roadway permitted crossing Alum Creek and when work under the bridge progressed to the point of not needing an adjacent temporary road.

A finishing coat is applied to the exterior concrete wall of the bridge abutment at the edge of the roadway leading into Alum Creek Park.
